Exhibition - Paul Neagu. The Artwork as Visual Hermeneutics

The exhibition entitled Paul Neagu. The Artwork as Visual Hermeneutics, recently opened at the Art Museum of Timişoara, offers a comprehensive insight into the main themes of the artist’s creation, brought back into the public’s consciousness, while also offering a recontextualization of his work.

The decade which has passed since Paul Neagu’s death is a time long enough to look back, taking a certain distance, at the work of an artist who made his career between East and West, as well as between the country where he was educated and whose cultural tradition he appropriated and the British environment, where he worked for many decades.
