Promotion of Young Scientists in Eastern Europe

With PROMYS, the SNSF is continuing a twenty-five-year-old tradition of scientific cooperation with Eastern Europe in the form of a special initiative for young researchers. By supporting researchers, the SNSF is also contributing to efforts aimed at strengthening the Eastern European science system.

The SNSF is launching an initiative to support young researchers in Eastern Europe: "Promotion of Young Scientists in Eastern Europe" (PROMYS).

With PROMYS, the SNSF is continuing a twenty-five-year-old tradition of scientific cooperation with Eastern Europe in the form of a special initiative for young researchers. By supporting researchers, the SNSF is also contributing to efforts aimed at strengthening the Eastern European science system.

Eligible for PROMYS are researchers from Eastern European countries who have studied or worked in Switzerland for at least two years and who wish to continue their careers in a new Eastern European member state of the EU. If approved, projects will have a running time of five years and a maximum budget of CHF 625,000.

The submission deadline for projects is 5 October 2015. Applicants are requested to open a mySNF account by 30 August 2015.
